Trike House Party Blood Feud: Final Standings: Mike “The Buzz-Saw” Asti is your Champion

Final Standings
Boo B Hyphen (Mike “The Buzz-Saw” Asti):
Stone Cold Buzz-Saw Killers (Kelen “B Hyphen” Conley):

The three-peat is completed. Mike “The Buzz-Saw” Asti finished the college football regular season ahead of Kelen “B Hyphen” Conley by 13 correct picks. Kelen didn’t even bother to pick the Week 15 games. When asked why he didn’t choose winners, he said this:

Didn’t he win in Week 5?

Yes, he did Kelen. Yes he did.

Trike House Party Blood Feud: Get the Tap Ready…

Kelen managed to lose more ground on The Buzz-Saw by picking Utah over Arizona in Week 13, so he now trails by 6 games going into the final week of the season. Barring any games being added by Yahoo (a move that cost Kelen the Golden Keg Championship last season), Asti should be receiving his third straight Golden Keg this time next week.

The Hyphen did release a statement heading into the final week of the season.

I now know how Katherine Heigl felt in 27 Dresses.

Boo BHyphen:
Stone Cold Buzz-Saw Killers: 131-44

After proclaiming that he would “sock Asti in his mouth from here on out” last time we spoke to him, Kelen has done nothing of the sort. In fact, over three weeks, he lost more ground to The Buzz-Saw after picking his beloved Hurricanes to upset the still-undefeated Seminoles.

In Week 10, The Hyphen also made the inexplicable choice of choosing Texas Tech over Texas, a move that would have gained him a game on Asti. Instead, he sits 5 games back with 3 weeks to go. Kelen hasn’t spoken to the media since his infamous quote we mentioned above. Here’s an out of context tweet from The Buzz-Saw about the situation.

Safe to say, Asti is all but assured a third consecutive Golden Keg Championship.

Asti has now improved his lead over Kelen to 4 games. Kelen’s choice to pick the Cowboys over the Mountaineers was the cause, as WVU won their game to move to 6-2.

Kelen had this to say when we asked for a quote:

You know, I took some risks this season, hoping to catch Asti off guard. But I’ve had to learn the hard way that you can’t catch Asti off guard. You have to walk right up to him and sock him in the mouth. The question then, is how well you respond to getting your own block knocked off. So I’m looking to sock Asti in his mouth from here on out.

6 weeks remaining.

Conley: 98-26

Trike House Party Blood Feud: Penalties Kill Momentum

Just as Florida State escaped Saturday night, so did the Buzz-Saw’s 3 game lead over the Hyphen. A Notre Dame victory would have brought Asti’s lead to just 2 games, as he incorrectly picked Stanford to beat Arizona State. Kelen took a chance and thought the Seminoles looked vulnerable at home.

And just as the penalty stopped Notre Dame from winning, that same penalty cost the Hyphen another week chasing a 3 game deficit that’s looking almost insurmountable with each passing of another game into the record books. The games seem to be pretty cut and dry this weekend, so one can only expect Asti will still be leading by 3 games this time next week.

Trike House Party Blood Feud: War Eagle Down

Thanks to Hyphen gambling on Auburn’s higher ranking and picking Texas Tech, The Buzz-Saw’s lead has expanded to 3 games. With 8 weeks to go, 3 games may not seem like much, but it could be enough of a lead to bring Asti his third straight Golden Keg Championship.

The later the season gets, however, the tougher the matchups, and for Hyphen’s sake, more upsets tend to happen. He really can’t give up any more distance if he wants to finally beat The Buzz-Saw.

Trike House Party Blood Feud: All These Upsets and No Changes

APTOPIX Alabama Mississippi FootballEverybody lost last week. You know who didn’t lose? Mike “The Buzz-Saw” Asti. Asti and Kelen’s picks were exactly alike, with both of them finishing 11-7.

So our competitors are still just 1 game apart, with The Buzz-Saw protecting his 1 point lead like a middle reliever facing the heart of the batting order. And just from taking a peek at this week’s picks, it could leave things at 1 game apart or Asti could advance his lead. Only the college football gods know.

Trike House Party Blood Feud: One Game Apart

Week 5 of the college football season finally brought some separation between our two competitors, as the Hyphen chose Oregon State over USC. It was a risky move that didn’t pay off, as the Buzz-Saw picked the favored Trojans for his 17th correct pick of the week.

Last week’s results

Week 6 is a crucial week for the Hyphen now, as he doesn’t want to give Asti any more breathing room. As a two time defending Golden Keg Champion, the Buzz-Saw knows what it takes to defend a lead and no one likes playing from behind.

Trike House Party Blood Feud: This is Excitement!

Nothing to see here folks. After Week 4, The Buzz-Saw and The Hyphen are still deadlocked, this time at 30 correct picks. Neither man was brave enough to gamble, as neither man wants to lose ground to the other man in this…this…BLOOD FEUD. Check back next week.
