Garbage day. Maybe one day I’ll actually get back to putting it out the night before instead of getting up at the buttcrack the day of to do it. Continue reading
The Trike rides again as Thomas, Anthony, and I are joined by Chris “CFX” Flynn for more conversation about nothing. Within this show: “Accidental Racist” by Brad Paisley and LL Cool J is discussed, Thomas takes issue with how young girls dress these days, Anthony doesn’t like that Tom Cruise gets top billing even though he’s getting paid top billing money, they take the Biebs to task for his Anne Frank comments, I wonder if humping on the dance floor is the cool thing to do now, the Padres/Dodgers brawl is touched upon, Anthony shares tales of his trip to New Jersey for WrestleMania NY/NJ, my impending nuptials are announced, Thomas wants to join the PGA Tour and be average, and run-ins with the law are mentioned here and there. Anthony comes out of his shell and you don’t want to miss that, so press play…please and thank you.
Blending style and entertainment is an art that few people have the patience or ability to master. Our interview today with Hot 100.5 DJ and avid blogger Elizabethany shatters that notion; everything seems to come so naturally to her that even when she’s working hard it still seems like she’s having the time of her life! Indeed Elizabethany is a wild card. You don’t always know what to expect – but you can bet your hard-earned dollar that it’ll be entertaining, it’ll be bold, and it’ll be delivered with her trademark style. Continue reading
Music goes beyond a hobby and becomes a way of life when you listen to hundreds of records just to find that elusive mix that strikes a perfect chord in you. I came upon Blake Allee’s My Best Friends Are Machines mixtape on DatPiff almost a year ago and it’s been cycling through my hip-hop playlist ever since! Now Blake is preparing to release his newest project Televisionn on February 27th and I knew I had to get the inside scoop.
Myopia = The problem of “thinking too small.”
Several months ago I began writing an article for TricycleOffense.com about marketing for the underground hip-hop artist. What resulted was a 9 page monstrosity which I’ve since decided to make into a full-blown writing endeavor. What follows is a short preview of that project in which I discuss the way the hip-hop world connects with the business world. My intention is to complete the project by early 2015. Continue reading
After a hiatus I caused, Trike Adventures returns! Corey “MF’N” Brill returns as well as everyone’s favorite heel, Mike “The Buzz-Saw” Asti! Topics covered include: going to the movies to see a film more than once, a few “left behind” stories are shared, Corey tries to explain that it’s hard out here for a gay man, Asti brings another epic story to the table, this one about Triple AAA and then follows it up with a story about how he’s being sued, I go on a Facebook rant, Anthony finally admits his love for The Buzz-Saw, and Thomas questions whether it was a space jump or a space fall that the world watched this past Sunday. Time’s slipping away and in two weeks we’ll be back at it again, better get caught up now!
You might recognize Katie as a popular radio DJ on Morgantown, West Virginia’s 101.9 WVAQ “The Hit Music Channel,” but Richter is more than just a record-breaking local celebrity – this self-proclaimed “social butterfly” is the heart and soul of our area’s social scene. After appearing in the list of “Top 50 Hottest Women In Radio” two years in a row and working with the same team who recently won a NAB Marconi Radio Award (watch their acceptance speech here), it’s clear that Katie’s influence reaches far beyond the scope of her mic. Without further ado, myself and TricycleOffense.com bring you an interview with the real Katie Richter! Continue reading
